Engineering-geological and hydrogeological survey work forms the basis for the preparation of construction project documentation and for subsequent geotechnical solutions for the structure being built, and is an important basis for further professional activities. Engineering-geological, hydrogeological, and environmental issues are always addressed with regard to the specific planned, constructed, or operated structure and the conditions of its location.

INSET s.r.o. holds professional licenses from the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic for the design, implementation, and evaluation of geological work, as well as a number of departmental professional and vocational qualifications (Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic, OBÚ, ČIA) for geological work and geotechnical surveys.

Geophysical methods enable continuous monitoring of changes in physical parameters on profiles of interest in both area and space during subsoil exploration, including the detection of any temporal changes in the measured physical fields. Geophysical exploration represents non-invasive methods for supplementing information about the properties of the soil and rock environment.

Geophysical methods explore the ground environment from shallow depths just below the surface to depths of several kilometers. Some of these methods are also used in the diagnosis of building structures.

This includes a range of activities related to geological exploration work or the performance of work and services related to the design or operation of structures, usually including the provision of documentation for the use of areas of interest.

INSET s.r.o. holds professional licenses from the Czech Chamber of Authorized Engineers – thanks to its authorization in the field of geotechnics, it is possible to perform work related to geotechnical surveys, design, monitoring, and supervision of structures.

It also assesses the condition and temporal development of spatial deformations of earth structures:

We have long been involved in structural diagnostic surveys and monitoring of water supply and sewage networks and cable tunnels. We place emphasis on exploratory work, thereby helping operators to detect faults in a timely manner and subsequently select the appropriate remediation method.

This involves a set of structural and technical diagnostics, including related geotechnical monitoring. All of this is an indispensable part of construction and design work.

This is a set of professional activities that quantify and, when applied in a timely manner, also eliminate the risks associated with the safe preparation, construction, or operation of buildings, or any negative impact on the surrounding environment.

Construction diagnostics and technical monitoring of buildings are performed to check the safety of operational building structures, especially bridges. Diagnostics focus on determining and documenting the structural condition or quality of a building, building structure, or part thereof, and on recording changes in the monitored condition over time.

Surveying measurements are used to determine heights, elevations, inclinations, or vertical and horizontal shifts of measured points that are stabilized in the terrain, on objects, or on monitored parts of building structures. Surveying work also includes other specialized tasks, such as surveying underground spaces, spatial scanning of buildings and earth structures, and determining their spatial shapes and volumes.

It also determines the condition and temporal development of spatial deformations of earthworks – embankments and cuttings, roads, tunnel tubes, sewers, shafts, quarries, and other structures and objects.

Our employees have many years of professional experience and hold certificates from the Ministry of the Environment, mining certificates, and ČKAIT authorizations.

It also provides expertise for construction purposes, construction supervision, and specialized activities in the field of environmental measurements.

Our SW and HW engineers, in cooperation with specialists in the diagnosis and monitoring of building structures, create their own software solutions and infrastructure for the aggregation and conversion of measured values. This ensures complete control over the entire process, i.e. from the sensor to the value in the user’s web browser.

The INSET CZ Technical Testing Laboratory is a testing laboratory accredited according to the ČSN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 standard by the Czech Accreditation Institute, o.p.s.

Based on the measurements performed, the INSET CZ Technical Testing Laboratory may, in agreement with the client ordering the tests, issue expert opinions, interpretations of results, or statements of conformity with specifications.
